Furthermore, <strong>they will have the same rights and benefits as Spanish self-employed workers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Requirements_to_become_Self-Employed_Autonomo_in_Spain\"><\/span>Requirements to become Self-Employed (Aut\u00f3nomo) in Spain<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"General_Requirements\"><\/span>General Requirements<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The requirements that must be met to become self-employed in Spain are the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Be of legal age or an emancipated minor.<\/strong> That is, be a minimum of 18 years old or be a minor who is legally emancipated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Have legal capacity.<\/strong> One must not have any legal limitations to carry out an economic activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Economic activity on one&#8217;s own account and for profit.<\/strong> It is important that the activity is developed independently and with the goal of obtaining financial benefits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Habitual activity.<\/strong> This means that the activity is carried out regularly and not occasionally.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Obtain licenses and permits, <\/strong>if necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reside in Spain.<\/strong> It is required to have legal residence or a stay\/resident authorization that permits the activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Documentation.<\/strong> Spanish people: DNI. EU Foreigners: NIE and Certificate of Registration as an EU Citizen (if the stay exceeds 3 months).
